Hi,
I am making a customization to Part Where Used, which can be accessed when you right-click a part number in Epicor. I have made the customization I need, but I don’t know where I can set my customization to be the default from Menu Maintenance.
Look at this context menu maintenance for Part.PartNum. The Part Where Used dbd will be pointed at a specific menu item, and if you customize that one, it should pull up. Make sure you also apply the customization anywhere else that dashboard exists.
Ah, someone created a custom process and that’s what you’re seeing. Go to Process Calling Maintenance. I created one just like yours, but I tied it to a receipt entry screen for ease of use.
The Menu ID associated with this Called Process Reference is where you’ll want to apply that customization. Going back to Context Menu Maintenance, I added a new Context Menu item and named it like yours. Then I hand typed in my custom process ID
Now, when I go to a Part and right click on Part Num, I see it as an option;
When I click it, it loads up Receipt Entry for me, just as I defined it in the Process Calling Maintenance.
TL/DR; go to Process Calling Maintenance to get your Menu ID associated with that custom process.
Am I supposed to find some custom process calling or am I supposed to create one? Because I actually didn’t see anything when I clicked Load Custom Processes
So when it came up it is all greyed out and I would have to click new to put information in. When I right click on Custom Processes and select New Process Entry, nothing came up. Very odd.
Hmm I hope I’m not leading you astray. When I look at mine, after loading Standard Processes like you did, I see there is a Process called Where_Used, but nothing called Where_Used_Active, which is why I believe(d) it’s a custom process.
@Banderson do you have a standard process called Where_Used_Active? It looks to me like a custom process, but OP is not seeing custom processes. I’m not sure if it’s just not in my environment
It does appear when I click on the Part Entry part num, but not all PartNums have that option. What’s interesting to me is that OP has a process ID called Where_Used_Active but cannot find the menu ID associated with it
I believe there’s a version of Part Where Used that comes with the Shop Vision module. If you’re not licensed for that module then… @Aaron_Moreng, does the Menu Item begin with SV?
