Zebra Label Printer Configuration

Just got a Zebra 2844 Printer (came from UPS) and was using the UPS
Worldship drivers. Everything seemed to be going good until a
problem came up. Now Crystal Report will not show the fields and
Vantage will not print to any printer that has Crystal Report
associated with it. I called support and they told me it was either
the Report (if modified) is bad or the Runtime has went bad. I have
uninstalled the Runtime and it didnt fix the problem. I placed the
original form... same thing again. Below is the error that Epicor is
giving me... If I need to open another thread, I will.

Merry Chrismahanukwanzakah Group,

Our shipping computer died and the replacement is having an awful time printing labels correctly on our Zebra 105S label printer.
Mostly they are way out of alignment.

Old pc was running 2000 new - XP Pro - Vantage 6.1

These labels are the 4 x 6 labels and it seems changing any of settings in the printer properties makes zippo difference.

Any suggestions ? It would be a nice present for the shipping guys.

Thanks,

Charles

Merry Christmas to all,

I am also struggling with a Zebra printer.
As a matter of fact I am on e line with Sysem ID Warehouse as your post
came in.

I am also Zebra challenged.
Like whats the deal with these guys.
I have a Zebra tlp2844 also refusing to print a label that has worked
for
Roughly 3 years.
This is a new printer not like the Eltron predecessor.
I would gladly accept any tips and trick that are out there.

Thanks to you all and Merry Christmas,

We have a Z4M and 90+% of any issues we have had have been in the driver AND the firmware rev level used in the driver. On our printer the rev level reported by the printer would not work with the driver and we had to "lie" to the setup screen for the printer and enter a completely different number. You might need to contact Zebra support directly. It took me three tech reps there before I got the one that instantly knew the issue and gave me a good rev number. Not saying the issue is the same but worth checking out maybe.

John,

I have been running a TLP2844 for awhile now I use the Seagull
Scientific print drivers
http://www.seagullscientific.com/aspx/thermal_95.aspx. My problem with
the printer is image quality, occasionally the ribbon gets a little
slack creating a poor image.

This has been something I have noticed with Zebra printers. I find they
tend to be solid, but Zebra does not seem to be able to write drivers for
them. I gave up asking after the second Zebra rep sent me to the referenced
site to get drivers for their product. I wouldn't even look on Zebra's site
anymore.

Good luck,

Has anyone gotten a Zebra printer working correctly using XP on v6.1 ?

Does Epicor Tech support - support the Zebra label printers or is it not
even worth calling them ?

Thanks,

Charles
