Never have had a problem printing the Dataworks Code 39 font. We treat the Z4M just like a laser printer. On ther otherhand all of our labeling is done with Report Builder. We had some issues to start with the font size being too small so pumped it up really large in the development screen. It ends up printing much smaller in "real life" so sometimes is looks like it overlays other fields (text items) but with a little trial and error it ends up looking OK.
One other thought.....when we first set up the Z4M I had a LOT of trouble printing multiple copies from RB. It would not obey the print dialog when run from Vantage (where you specifcy copies and whether to pop up the filter box, etc...). After much struggle we found the right Zebra tech who knew rightaway that the firmware rev displayed by the printer would never work right in the driver so we gave it something entirely different (can't recall but something like 14.7.12)...then everything was perfect. But this issue never happened with anything but RB (Crystal, Excel, Word were all OK and would print the right # copies).

another label maker software. All read fine if we print on the HP
Laser printer.
