I thought the resolution for Vantage had to be 800 x 600.

The min resolution is 800x600.

I cannot see using anything less than 1024x768.

it has something to do with the Windows Fonts for something, but haven't
figured it out yet.

Been using Vantage 5.2 on Windows XP(5.1) since November, no problems with displays. I'm using Windows XP style, normal font size, 1024 x 768 pixels on a laptop flat panel, 96DPI.

XP has a new setting: dpi

By default the XP setting for dpi is 96. Acer changed the dpi in its setup
script. After we put it back to 96 and rebooted the laptops Vantage workd
fine.

Troy,
Are you are talking about changing the Windows DPI? If so, you would right
click on your desktop, then go to display properties, settings tab, advanced
and finally the general tab where you will find the drop down box with the
DPI settings.
