I am running Vantage 8.03.404B with SQL Server 2005 on a Windows Server 2008
Std. I prpbably would not have gone this route if I had known about it not
being certified yet, but our Sales person said that is. I didn't find out
until the Epicor install Tech was 10 minutes into the install and asked why
my desktop looked the way it did. Luckily, the Epicor Tech went ahead and
installed it. It has worked flawlessly since. I have zero issues with it.
Basically, WS2008 is a supercharged version of Windows Vista, as long as you
are familiar with the differences between Windows XP and Windows Vista you
should be fine. I have even begun preliminary testing running Vantage using
Terminal Server 2008's Remote Application feature, and it has worked
perfectly so far.
