Windows Authentication for Sub Tasks

I’m running through the process of upgrading my Sandbox from 2021.1 to 2023.2. After reinstalling the Task Agent, there is a section titled “Using Windows Authentication for Sub Tasks.” It states - “If you have on premise environment and will use Windows authentication for Single Sign On
(SSO), some processes may fail unless you override the authentication mode. If you run processes that
include sub tasks such as Material Requirements Planning (MRP), you must change the authentication…”

Since I don’t use SSO, I expect that I should be able to configure the Task agent with Basic Authentication as we have in previous versions. Has anyone encountered problems with Basic Authentication when not using SSO?

Thanks!

Also curious. Any issues yet?

I’m too early in testing to say conclusively, but I did open a ticket with Epicor and was told that this is not applicable when SSO is not being used.
