Who is happy with Vantage 8?

We went live on V8 at the end of August and I really like Vantage. Compared
to our legacy system the ability to customize it to tailor our needs is what
really sold me on the product besides all the bells and whistles it has
compared to our legacy product.

Being live for two months now I have been able to do things for Sales,
Production, Purchasing, & Shipping that I would never would have been able
to before.

Ever time I do a customization that enables a department be more productive
it just makes me more excited about the product and opens up new ideas in
everyone head on how we can continue to customize it.

We have just started to do little mini learning sessions for different
departments (mostly Sales) on how to find information in the system. The
ability to jump from Quote to Order to Job to Shipping to Invoice and back
and forth and opening their eyes up on how to search or find information in
Trackers or Dashboards is really helping them, now that they have had some
time working in the system, and is squelching some complaints on that
subject.

I haven't started to work with BAQs or setting up Dashboards to meet our
needs but when I do I think that is just going to be another bonus for the
product.

We are. We have something around 8 to 10 customers who are on it. Yes we have some problems, but in general the customers are happy. We've got some bigger issues with the currencies with one customer, but version 8 is beginning to be stable.

Well...when we bought Vantage, version 8 was available and we have been
solely working with just 8. (using 8.03 now)

Compared to our legacy system, we love Vantage.

With that said there are some issues that we have with the Vantage but
with the flexibility of customization we will be able to create
solutions for these issues.



If I had to rate our happiness level right now, on a scale of 1 to 10 (1
being very unhappy and 10 being very happy) I would say it's 7.5.

However I expect this to jump to a 9.5 or higher as we make Vantage work
as we need it to.
