In V6.0 there are two tables. One for Plant Floor users (LicDCUsers)
and one for full licenses (LicUsers). Hope this helps. Allen Tucker

Epicor Software announces that Elliot to acquire the company for
$9.50/share (EPIC) 7.89 : Elliott Associates, a major shareholder of
Epicor Software (EPIC), today sent the following letter to the
company's Board of Directors: "...As you are aware, we have made
numerous requests to the company's executives and board of directors
asking that the company commence a process to explore strategic
alternatives. Unfortunately, each of these requests has been denied.
Nevertheless, Elliott is prepared, based upon our review of publicly
available information, to offer to acquire 100% of the company's
outstanding shares for a price of $9.50 per share in cash. This
represents a 20% premium to yesterday's closing share price and a
25% premium to the trailing 60-day volume-weighted average price.
Note that it is our strong belief that EPIC's recent stock price has
been supported in part by public disclosure of Elliott's holdings in
the company... Given the execution and competitive challenges faced
by the Company, we believe our proposal presents an extremely
attractive alternative for stockholders. As Elliott has more than
$14 billion of capital under management, our acquisition of the
Company can be completed using only our own funds and will not be
subject to any financing condition..."
What are "strategic alternatives"?

EPIC is undervalued and under marketed.

In the proper hands, Epicor could make much headway into the upper-tier
market with ver 9.

This is great news especially considering our current economic status.

At $9.50/share, it's a steal for the portfolio of products Epicor
offers. Realize there's a huge retail arm of Epicor, too.

I disagree. EPIC is underfinanced and over marketed (relative to product development budgets & customer support).

The current regime (that is not producing true profit) overhypes (markets) in an attempt to 'make it up in volume'. (That never works.)

Elliott Associates m.o. seems to be to buy debt (or debt laden companies) and then sue until the cows come home to try and recoup the bad debt.

It makes them a great deal of money doing this but doesn't leave much intact after they are done. (It is a scorched earth approach.)

Personally, I'd rather see someone like Infor swoop in and try to steal it away... At least they would absorb the company and continue to try and grow the products (even if it is just integration into another existing product).

It wouldn't make sense for an Infor to do that though as EPIC is doing a good job all by themselves of eliminating themselves as competition in the market.

Epicro doesn't seem to have published their board meeting schedules... Any notions as to when they must meet next and this offer will (have to ) receive formal consideration?

Ok, I feel really dumb that I cannot seem to find the correct table for
this, help!

I am trying to write a quick report to show what computers / users ID
are currently logged into vantage. I can see the computers logged in
via the 'connected users' so this must be available somewhere to write a
report, but I cannot find it... I have been searching for way too long
and to no avail - does anybody know where this info is stored?

Thanks!

Not sure where this info can be found, but there are some "z" tables in the database which is essentially a list of ALL fields, relationships, etc that exist in the vantage tables only. Try searching there for field names like "computer" or "userid" or something more descriptive if you get too many hits. These "z" tables are also incredibly useful if you know the fieldname, but want to know if the fieldname is coming from a table or a "view", and if it is coming from a table, which table(s).

Thanks,
Kunal
