Happy Friday all! So, I have been tasked with using Epicor Financial Planner (EFP) to create budget reports, etc. The problem is, I am NOT a financial person. I was chosen because of my technical skills, but it sure would help me out if I better understood accounting. Anyway, this is turning into a weekly thing, and I need help with some things on EFP. We use the portal through the browser, and we also use the Excel Add-In (for now, though we are trying to phase this out soon and go completely online).
I need help with using EFP so this doesn’t take up so much time. I had to format 60 reports individually last week because I couldn’t figure out how to set it. It took me all day, when I could have pressed one button in the Published Books section and gotten them all if I could set it up correctly.
Yes, we use dspanel for help, but they live in Sweden and I need help now.
-Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to change the Business Rules Dimension filter? I can add to them, but I can’t seem to delete anything.
If anyone uses EFP and could give me some assistance, I’d appreciate it. I’m scouring the internet looking for instructions, but all I can find (mostly) are bullet points of features, but not any good how-to’s. I’ll keep looking, but thought I’d shoot this out to everyone.
Yes and no. Epicor has added about 25 videos now to the Learning Center under Epicor Financial Planner. I’ve watched almost all of the videos (they’ve added more since I took them) and I made guidelines as I went through them. Hakan is the presenter in the videos and who I normally work with at dspanel, and so watching his videos was the most helpful thing for me. If you have not gotten a chance to go through them, I would absolutely start there. I only wish they’d have had those available a year earlier.

I know this an old post but I don’t see much on this forum about Epicor FP&A (EFP) but would like to interact with other users of the tool. We have been using it for a couple of years to consolidate several businesses financial statements but I would like to develop it a bit further and calculate some business metrics like DSOs, DPOs and Inventory turns. I would like to hear from others that are doing these calculations in Epicor FP&A. I have been struggling to get either business rules or reports to fully calculate them.
