When will kinect replace the classic interface?

When will Kinect fully replace the old interface? Just wondering.

I’m not sure if Epicor has an official answer anymore. At Insights last year someone asked a presenter this question and he said something along the lines of “not until Kinetic UI is fully ready for prime-time and my earliest guess would be 2026”… I won’t out who said this since it’s a touchy subject.

@timshuwy may be our best hope of getting a better answer than that

The official answer from epicor is that:

  1. we will give an announcement one year in advance of deprecation of the smart client
  2. we have not made an announcement yet, so it is therefore, at least one year away.

(Anyone who knows our history and who can do math, realizes that we probably wont make that announcement before Insights 2024, so at the soonest, the deprecation would be May of 2025… but if we dont announce at Insights, then it would probably be October 2025… or maybe beyond. :safe_harbor: Again. no official announcement made yet, so… )
