I have a part that shows Total Demand quantity of 88 in Part Tracker, but running a query on all open jobs with material shows a demand of 94, and then the Time Phase shows a demand of 98. The difference between Time Phase and the query is due to job 300152-1-1 having partial shipped, using qty 4. I can’t find why the other 6 pieces aren’t being picked up in the Part Tracker, however. All other columns in the Part Tracker are 0.
Good Afternoon,
We have not found the Total Demand Qty on Part tracker to be reliable, on many occasions. We tell users to use/trust Timephase over part tracker at all times. I suspect that a discrepancy between partbin, partwhse, and partdtl is occurring due to in-process work, issuing and returning quantities, shippping and unshipping, etc.
Epicor has provided fixes to try and get all of these to jive (old conversion called 6430) and then these per below. But the problem just comes back again.
Maybe you want to look at the 3 tables, partbin, partwhse, and partdtl for this part number and see what they’re saying.

That did the trick. Part Tracker now showing total demand of 98. Still seems like it should only show 94 because 4 pieces shipped from one of the open jobs already, but at least it matches Time Phase. I can be satisfied with this until I change the grid in Part Tracker to calculate a field on a query instead.
Thanks.
