Yes, they identify themselves as Vantage tech support, but they are old
Vista tech support people.

Are you calling the Vantage number? (800-269-3044) I've never had
someone identify themselves as Vista support.
Also, do you get the email after a case is closed asking you to log your
experience at their web site? Blast'em there. They must care about the
stats because they report them at Perspectives.
If you don't get the followup email you can track the call on-line using
the call number and send an inquiry to them to get back to you on the
issue. I wouldn't be patient enough to wait a couple weeks. Maybe 4
hours tops.

Boy do I understand your frustration!!! I get almost NO help from tech
support anymore! All I get is Vista tech people who have to constantly
put me on hold after every question. Most of the time they will say
"let me do some more research and get back to you" . and they RARELY do!
I now make it a practice to write down the name of the person, and the
case number because on several occasions I called back after a few weeks
to check the status of a bug, only to find that they have no record of
me calling it in!

I am sorry but, What the hell happened to tech support? Who are
these people answering the lines?
Can anyone help me with my system. We are running 5.0.345 and
suddenly, performance has degraded, ODBC is giving me total grief. I
have changed nothing on the system. Users attempt to open Vantage
and nothing happens. Users attempt to use access to connect via ODBC
to vantage and interrogate data and there are a multitude of errors
that occur. Am I out of licenses, is the database corrupted? IF I
kick everyone out and one user logs on, things are just fine. I
don't know where to look anymore. I have looked at everything
obvious. This is not a very large database. Any ideas????
