Looking for some clarity of creating sites, warehouses, bins for offsite location of fixtures.
What is the heirarchy, and what menus are used to create that heirarchy?
Thanks…

At the top of this hierarchy is Company, which is a distinct legal entity from any other Company you may have in Epicor. These are created in System Setup > Company/Site Maintenance > Company Maintenance, and both Company Maintenance and Company Configuration contain settings for various parameters.
Sites (formerly called Plants) are TYPICALLY separate physical locations within a single Company (originally designed for multiple manufacturing locations). There is always at least one Site. Sites are created in System Setup > Company/Site Maintenance > Site Maintenance, and Site Maintenance, Site Configuration, and Site Cost Maintenance contain settings for various parameters. Each Site can have its own costing, part level MRP parameters, part revisions, resources and resource groups, and other stuff. You use Transfer Orders to move parts between Sites.
At least one Warehouse must exist in each Site. Warehouses are collections of Bins, which are the base unit of inventory storage locations (there must be at least one Bin in each Warehouse). Warehouses are created under Material Management > Inventory Management > Setup > Warehouse. Your warehouse/bin configuration will have a significant impact on everything to do with material movement.
Others can most assuredly chime in here… but did that answer what you were asking?
It most certainly did. Thanks for the help.
