We’d like to be able to choose a part number and qty and run a What IF to see how this part and it’s indented levels effect resource groups/depts (number of hours in each resource group/dept).
Trying to avoid creating a job to do this, and then causing issues in timephase, etc.
Has anyone else been successful at creating something like this? A dashboard? Any tips would be appreciated.

You might try looking at the Capable to Promise functionality. That process does create an unfirm job (which would be deleted the next time MRP runs, so it wouldn’t affect other planning tools for TOO long, but then Epicor would have done all the work pulling it all together for you and your team to analyze.
