Vendor Credit Card Payments

We set up Suppliers called "Visa", "Mastercard", etc... and then when
someone uses a CC to purchase a part our AP person will enter a Purchase
Point under one of the above Suppliers. Then when a check is cut to Pay the
CC you are paying the Supplier the total amount from all the Purchase Points
during that period.

Ok a little weirded out by this so hopefully all you accounting gurus
can help!

We are going to pay a lot of our vendors with a credit card instead of a
check. Is anyone out there doing this and if so how would you process
this payment in the system?

We are on Vista 8.00.812....
