VB Form Error

I had the same thing happen to me once several years back (on 5.0)... a
call to tech support and they had to send me a fix utility (VBRESET.r)
to clear the form. Call info is below. You will probably need to call
tech support to the get the vbreset.r file for Vantage 6.0 and then
start over on your form...

-------------------------------------------
Please reference call # 727732PSC if you have any additional questions
on this issue.

The document below should explain the problem you are seeing. Attached
is the VBReset.r fix program and instructions for 5.00. Keep in mind
that when you reset the form, you will need to add the exact same inputs
back in when you recreate the form, otherwise you will not be able to
access the existing data that might be out there attached to the form.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

After I modified a VBForm for the OrderHead file, I could not save the
changes, and I received the following error:

'VBFormDetail record not on file. (138)'

There are currently 2 character fields, 3 date fields, 1 editor field
and 1 text field on the form. I have run the recycle program for this
table, but still get the error message. Other forms can be modified and
saved successfully.

PROBLEM RESOLUTION:

There is a fix program (VBRESET.R) available from Vantage Technical
Support that will reset the VBForm causing this error.

Install the program by copying the VBRESET.R file to your \Vantage
directory on the server.

To run the program:

1) Start a Vantage session.
2) Select menu options: System Management --> Vantage Basic -> Command
Window.
3) In the command windows key the command EDITPROG and press ENTER.
4) In the Procedure Editor window enter the command RUN VBRESET.R and
press F2.
5) The program will then prompt for table name to be reset.
6) The program will end by displaying a completion message.
7) File|Exit|No to save buffers to leave the procedure editor screen.

I am able to do it on my stand alone test database, but when we try to do it on the live data base, we get that message. The RMAhead is the only VB Form we are having that issue with so far. It is driving us nuts.

Can't swear to this but a vague recollection I have says something about VB form fields when they are deleted needing to have some process to make them available again. Some sort of refresh process. I am wondering if something has gotten corrupted in the VB forms table and has flagged the fields as unusable. maybe someone used them once and deleted them from a form. Perhaps running the field restore (or whatever it is) will set them straight. Check the help screens for info on VB form fields...I am pretty sure I saw this in there once. Something to check out. Caution....I also recall something about data in the fields gets wiped and the process might affect more than deleted fields in just that table.
