Vantage Screen Troubles

Thanks, that solved the first problem, the second problem I think is in the
actual design of the dashboard/workbench.

and on a similar note, anyone know if there is a way to save column widths
on a dashboard to not be at a minimum size when initially opened/populated?

or is that just something that people need to deal with and accept doing
each time they open something like the salesperson workbench for the first
time?

I have seen this issue on HPs and if under display properties, advanced,
general, DP setting: is not set to - Normal size (96 DPI). Give that a try.

Trying to trouble shoot a problem and figure out what might be the cause...

We are using Dell Laptops which have had the problems, most are some version
of a Latitude D8xx, it has not been an issue for any desktop machines.

When we try to open up a Search, we end up with the search box being
distorted like this:

http://sites.google.com/site/technobabbly/Home/SearchScreenProblem.jpg

We need to adjust this in order to see the search buttons, options, and
results.

or if we are on the Salesperson Workbench, we end up with a distortion like
this:

http://sites.google.com/site/technobabbly/Home/SalesPersonWorkBench.jpg

We can't seem to be able to adjust the display area to allow us to use the
full visual area of the table that displays the information.

This varies and changes, sometimes this happens while connected to a
projector, sometimes when not connected to a projector, sometimes while
connected to a 2nd screen, sometimes while not, and sometimes there are no
problems at all.

I haven't been able to find a 100% reason for this, and was wondering if
anyone else has had this problem or similar and found a solution or
permanent fix

thanks for any help

I have seen this if the screen resolution was set to 800x600. When set to 1024x768 or higher it went away.

Another to check is that you are not using large fonts....under Display properties, Appearance tab. Make sure it is set to normal font.
