We upgraded to 405a in August and have extactly this same problem.
We have tried everything suggested and did create labels from
scratch. Still not fixed. Anyone else having this problem and come
up with a solution?

I'm looking at printing the "PTranLog" label from Vantage. When I print to a label printer from Vantage the label prints out in a portrait orientation even though the label is customized and saved to print in landscape. The printer is also set to print in landscape. If I print the label directly from Crystal, versus the Vantage menu, the label prints out correctly (in landscape orientation). Is there some kind of setting/driver in Vantage that needs to be setup or that is setup incorrectly? I ran into a similar problem on 8.03.403A that you are describing.

I have created/modified labels many times without any issues. We spent
more time than I want to admit chasing this problem.

We swapped out brands/models of printers, client computers, downloaded
and installed drivers and nothing worked.

I have been using CR for 8 years and have never seen the developer
behave differently than the "Run Time".

Support was unable to help (3149282MPS was the call number). We
abandoned Crystal Reports to print this particular label.

I think there is something different in the "Run Time" version of
Crystal versus the Developer version of Crystal on form handling.

If you find a solution be sure to let the group know.

You are not alone and good luck.

I'm looking at printing the "PTranLog" label from Vantage. When I print
to a label printer from Vantage the label prints out in a portrait
orientation even though the label is customized and saved to print in
landscape. The printer is also set to print in landscape. If I print
the label directly from Crystal, versus the Vantage menu, the label
prints out correctly (in landscape orientation). Is there some kind of

We had issue with receiving labels immediately after upgrading to
405a.
No amount of tweaking or printer settings would work - updated the
zebra driver to the 'developer' version of the driver and all is
well ... for now.

it prints 90 deg rotated. When I changed to 4"x3" it prints fine!

Try over sizing your label setting and you may succeed.

Ultimately what solved this issue for us was that there were several
different locations in the Zebra Label properties that you had to change
the label size. Once we did that the problem went away.

We scrapped the Vantage label and designed our own label. There were
too many problems with Vantage's version.

They are pretty general, I felt rather silly after the fact. Go to the
properties of your Zebra printer. General tab-printing preferences
button-page set up... change label size here, click Ok to save settings.
Also.... properties of your Zebra Printer-Advanced Tab-printing defaults
button-page set up... change label size here as well. Now you would
think that by changing one it would automatically change the other but
that wasn't the case for us. Let me know if this helps you out.

I now have both of these options set to landscape and have adjusted the label size in both areas as well. However, the label still prints out in portrait when I print from Vantage. Do you have any other ideas that may be of help?

They are pretty general, I felt rather silly after the fact. Go to the
properties of your Zebra printer. General tab-printing preferences
button-page set up... change label size here, click Ok to save settings.
Also.... properties of your Zebra Printer-Advanced Tab-printing defaults
button-page set up... change label size here as well. Now you would
think that by changing one it would automatically change the other but
that wasn't the case for us. Let me know if this helps you out.

Would you happen to know where the locations were that you changed these
settings?

We had these same types of issues with our Zebra Label Printer.
Ultimately what solved this issue for us was that there were several
different locations in the Zebra Label properties that you had to change
the label size. Once we did that the problem went away.

Just recently pulled my hair out over this issue. My label size is
4" by 2". When I set the label size in the printer default at 4"x2",
it prints 90 deg rotated. When I changed to 4"x3" it prints fine!
The printer (Zebra) seems to have a mind of its own.

Try over sizing your label setting and you may succeed.

Scrap the Vantage label and create your own from scratch.
