Vantage Customer Issue

Yes, we are having the same issue since .407 upgrade. We are SQL as
well. The other issue is that only certain customers appear when using
the search, unless we tell it to return all rows. This later is a known
issue that has an SCR I am told.

Yep. we're on SQL. Support told us to look our numbers up in customer
tracker, as an interim fix.

Are both of you on SQL? We are on 407 Progress and haven't seen this.
There is a delay that appears to be random, but I don't think I've seen
it take over 15 seconds, and sometimes its almost instant.

Good Afternoon everyone,

We are running on version 8.03.407 and are having an issue in quote and
order entry. When we press on the search button for the customer it
takes over 3 minutes to return the list of customers. I have sent my
database to support and they have confirmed it is a bug but will not
give me a date it will be fixed. We are working on going live and feel
it will impact that date as we view it as a major waste of time. My
questions are this:

1) Is anyone else having this issue and if so how are you dealing
with it?

2) Does anyone know who to call or contact to put this issue along?

Thanks!

Dale

I figure while I'm on hold with Epicor, I'll send this out.

Weird problem:

In the Chart of Accounts maintenance, upon trying to modify the
description and saving I get an error "Record has been modified by
another user and couldn't be updated. Please press the Refresh button
and re-enter your changes." I do that and it never lets me save.

THE REAL RELATED PROBLEM:

Anytime we attempt to post something to this account, for instance in
Journal Entry, we get an error "Invalid GLAcct, record does not exist"
even after selecting it from the search box.

Vantage SQL 404b

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance!!!

Sounds like a corrupted GL acct....its been a while but I had Epicor
help me with this....and I am on progress.

You created the account in chart maintenance, then created it in chart
of accounts, correct? Otherwise try this and see if it works.

If so, then Epicor has to help you out....

Yes, I can see that could be a problem where it could take several minutes. One of the problems is that instead of having a separate retrieve button for the Ship To's it brings in all the customer's and Ship To's at the same time. Are you experiencing any slowness like this in other areas of the application? Also, make sure the PC you are retrieving customers on has as much memory and CPU as possible. Are they on 100 mgb network or gigabyte switching? This could help some of the load as well

Thanks!

Dale

We just upgraded to version 407, and are experiencing the same. Vantage
support told us we were the only ones to complain about this and it
wouldn't be addressed until version 409.

Are both of you on SQL? We are on 407 Progress and haven't seen this. There is a delay that appears to be random, but I don't think I've seen it take over 15 seconds, and sometimes its almost instant.

Yep. we're on SQL. Support told us to look our numbers up in customer
tracker, as an interim fix.
