Vantage 803409c - Cycle count by Bins possible?

Thanks Rob, I will pass that on as a suggestion for the requester to try out if they wish.

In 8.03.40X, cycle counting is fundamentally limited to all bins ever having activity within the part-whse combo's selected (not down to excluding things at bin levels). I assume that isn't much different in v9.

Once you generate a count group & tags, you can go in and void ones for 'bins' you don't wish to count before you send your count sheets/tags out.

If you figure it out please share! I haven't seen anything like that but
it would be nice to be able to do certain zones or something.

Hi,

Does anyone know if you can do cycle counts by BIN only? So, we would not
be fully verifying all inventory for certain parts, but only what is in
one physical bin location...
Thanks.

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for.
I have my cabinets set up as individual warehouses, the drawers in the cabinets are my bins
I build a new count group selecting the warehouse I want, I use auto select to pick the parts in the warehouse
Then I group the parts by class, this gives me a list of parts by their class.
Since I know what class is in which bin, I can delete the classes that I don't want.
to delete a class you have expand the class and delete each part number inside, when you delete all part numbers then the class disappears
you are left with the parts in the bin that you want to count
for me I am left with a single drawer I want to count
it is a lot of work but I can count 1 drawer (bin) in my warehouse
