You can run a trace to see when it gets populated if that's required.
But the on hand quantities are indeed stored in the PartBin and not in
the PartLot table. PartLot only shows a flag as to whether or not the
material is on hand but doesn't keep the quantities. PartTran shows all
the transactions in (PO receipts, job receipts, etc) and out (issue to
job, shipments, etc) of the bin with transaction quantities but again
not the remaining on hand qty. These transactions increase or decrease
the on hand qty in the PartBin table. But overall, PartBin is the main
inventory table and lot number is one of the key fields. Your Stock
Status report is coming from PartBin, if that helps.
What are you trying to get?

Does anyone know how the on hand quantity column gets populated in
this table. I do not believe it is only the PartLot table or the
PartTran table.
Thanks,
Tony
