Judy,
I did for our company in Ohio an access database that had project and
tasks. It also had area code maps and zip code maps to generate
traveling routes to visit customers and prospects (6.1 has a field that
classifies customers as prospects or customers - these changes were made
for their CRM module). Each sales person had a work bench (guess where I
copy the idea from ) that show all their projects and pending tasks by
dollar impact.
I liked Access because it is a white canvas ready to be worked on. You
have ODBC connections to Vantage to bring information and integration
with other office products (Outlook, Excel, etc.). Maybe ACT has the
same connectivity/functionality. Last time I had contact with ACT was 15
years ago.
Good luck.

Subject: [Vantage] Vantage 6.10.541 - CRM Alternates
The CRM module in Vantage doesn't give our sales staff all of the
features and "bells and whistles" they're looking for in a sales
management tool.
They are currently looking into ACT as a possible solution for our
salespeople.
What we wonder is...does anyone else use ACT? Is there any easy/good
interface between ACT and Vantage?
If you don't use ACT, is there another solution anyone has that
satisfies their salespeople AND allows the rest of their organization
to still use Vantage?
Any and all ideas and comments are welcome...and you can feel free to
e-mail me offlist if you prefer.
Sincerely,
Judy Havlik
