Vantage 6.1 to Epicor 9.05

Anyone able to tell me how to edit the shortcuts so that they open the correct database?

For instance, trying to open the schema change (Just ran 8.03 SP)however the shortcut that Epicor created isn't working.

Database is in Test80 folder.

Error is: "Unable to open parameter file: D:\Client~1\config\mfgtest.pf..."
Is there any reason I would have to log into the database on the conversion from 6.1 - 8.00 - 8.03 - 9.04 - 9.05?

Or is it possible to just update the database from 6.1 - 9.05?
You'll need to go to 8 I believe and then form there Epicor has a migration
tool

But I haven't checked in a while so they may have made one for 6?

What I meant is besides running the upgrades on the database all the way through to 9.05 from 6.1, is there any reason I have to stop along the way to log into the database?

Basically, what I am having trouble with is the "data conversions" through the Admin Tools (especially 6.1 to 8.00) that take forever. Are these necessary or can you do it once when you get to 9.05?
You have to log into Admin Tools at each version step. That process is what actually the database conversions. :(

Thanks! I'm new to Progress and Epicor and trying to follow Epicor's instructions is disastrous at best.

There is also a major UOM conversion between 8.03 and 9.04.

Ok, so I ran the Admin Tools, finished the "database conversion", now a completely new newbish question:

Is there a Scheme Change that needs done before logging into the database? If so, how? Also, how do you edit the shortcut to launch the database to log in?

My new 8.00.812 database is sitting int he Test80 folder on d:\
Not sure about earlier versions, but when we go from 8.03 --> 9.04 --> 9.05, we do the schema change first, then import license files, and then do the mandatory database conversions.
