Vantage 6.1 - material marked for backflush - is not updating on

Yes - material is related to operation under the job (operation calling for material)... labor is posted with qty in that operation...does labor have to be posted against following ops or all ops - that wouldn't make sense since it could take unknown amount of time until following ops are complete....

I was wondering if I'm missing a flag somewhere - or configuration or possibly the advance materials module is needed...????

We just set some items in the part master to backflush so that when the operations calling for the material had labor posted - the on hand quantity of the part would be reduced. It's not working. I verified part master shows item backflushed....I check and see Labor Entry was posted for this part - no issue of material has been created. I look at the job - it shows the item marked as backflush (but grayed out since you can't edit it here...) Any ideas what I might be missing?

We have never used backflush before. It is a purchased item - but not marked purchase direct or make direct on job. We buy material in volume and stock it - then need to issue to job when work is done....

Any ideas?
Labor was reported by were any pieces reported as being complete in the
labor transaction?

We just set some items in the part master to backflush so that when the
operations calling for the material had labor posted - the on hand
quantity of the part would be reduced. It's not working. I verified part
master shows item backflushed....I check and see Labor Entry was posted
for this part - no issue of material has been created. I look at the job
- it shows the item marked as backflush (but grayed out since you can't
edit it here...) Any ideas what I might be missing?

We have never used backflush before. It is a purchased item - but not
marked purchase direct or make direct on job. We buy material in volume
and stock it - then need to issue to job when work is done....

Any ideas?
