The short answer is you can't edit it.

You can a manual credit it and do a miscellaneous invoice, or do a RMA
return and then reship and rebill.

I am trying to edit sales tax on an invoice that I have already
posted. If I create a credit memo for the specific lines on the
invoice it doesn't look like I can re-ship the lines to re-invoice with
the correct tax amount. Any suggestions on editing an invoice once it
has been posted?
