Vantage 6.0 Security

Ah, no...

That being said what we did at one company was give out badge numbers
with initials for logins. That way it would be harder for a hacker to
know who was an administrator for the database itself. But security for
Vantage is a joke...now we are on 8.0 and it is still the same. Don't
know what they did for 9.0!

Now I'm sure someone out there did something slick along these lines,
maybe?!

Subject: [Vantage] Vantage 6.0 Security

Is there a way to enforce a password policy such as follows:
Policy Security Setting
Enforce password history 3 passwords remembered
Maximum password age 0
Minimum password age 0 days
Minimum password length 8 characters
Password must meet complexity requirements Disabled
Store passwords using reversible encryption Disabled

Account lockout duration 0
Account lockout threshold 3 invalid logon attempts
Reset account lockout counter after 30 minutes

Our current approach is to collect passwords from all users and enter
them in our IT department. This would not be necessary if we can
enforce the policy.

TIA,
Allen Tucker
