Vantage 4.0

Tony
If you have DMR/RMA then you will have the Quality Control
Module. The first item to deal with is every scrap pieces (non-
conforming product) from time cards goes into inspection
processing. Someone will have to decide what to do with those
(accept or reject). The RMA changes to a much more integrated
product but does require inspection processing. If I remember
correctly a GL account has to be set up for cost of scrap or
quality or something.

Warehouse bins can have a non-nettable status so that RMA, non-
conforming and receiving inspection required pieces can sit with
raising inventory value but retain their cost for transfer to a
nettable bin or a job.

We like the QC module but it took some adjusting and we don't
have it fully implemented. Mostly our fault. We were in the middle
of ISO 9002 certification with procedures in place. We didn't
want to change everything right away.

Russ,
Are there issues with RMA/DMA between Vantage 3.0 and
4.0? If so, would you mind elaborating? We getting
close to a switch.

Are you aware of the changes you will have to make?
Are you
 using DMR/RMA now?

We ran 4.0 as a test/training for a month and still
had some
gotchas. If you have the space run them side by side.
