V9 job receipt to salvage

We're not doing this yet, but do plan on doing it in the future. We are on E9 and my plan is to create an upadateable dashboard that we can use to somehow receive parts back into inventory.  We don't have barcodes or anything so I think trickiest part will be our shipping/receiving department picking the correct part. 


In terms of making sure this is done before the job is closed can you not put a BPM or something on the job closing screen that asks if the process has been done?  I believe in E9 it is a very manual process though.

Version 8 when you had material you wanted to salvage back into inventor the system would process at job completion.  V9 now requires you to manual do a job receipt to salvage and I cannot find any way to notify you to do the transaction before job closing.  Is there something I am missing?
