V8 Product Configuartor Conversion

Thanks for everyone’s reply.  Turns out it is “\” characters in the Label of the Input control.  Must be looking at it as an escape character as it is being compiled in E9

Subject: [Vantage] V8 Product Configuartor Conversion

Converted from 8.03.409c to 9.05.702A over Labor Day weekend and I have a configurator that worked fine under 8 but I am receiving the following when trying to compile it.

The following errors were found during compile:

CS1009 - c:\Users\ScottL\AppData\Local\Temp\ti6uplte.6.cs (2457,46) - Unrecognized escape sequence

Total number of Errors: 1, Warnings 0

In my Test DB I have removed all rules against the method and slowly removing it from input fields to see if I can find the problem.

I have a ticket open with Epicor but so far they have not located the issue.  Any ideas?

I’d bet your client version isn’t matched with the server.

In my experience configurator does not upgrade you have to re-do them. I've never had anything but a VERY SIMPLE one upgrade cleanly.

We had 5 out of 9 come over fine.  I am rebuilding them, just hoping to save some time if I can find the issue.  In testing I had a mix bag of results so we were somewhat prepared for this.

Double check to make sure you have folders under your pcrules folder that match your DB ie mine are:

\\HUMEPICOR1\Epicor905\Server\pcrules\LIVE

\\HUMEPICOR1\Epicor905\Server\pcrules\TEST

I’ve only upgraded in the 9.05 arena, but it is usually something dumb.  I have a couple pretty intense designs and haven’t had to start over yet…

Brenda,

I have 5 other configurators that are working fine.  So I think the conversion process introduce some type of bad data

Thanks
