Using the PartTran table, I selected records which did not include
significant transactions (PartTran.TranType <> "STK-STK", "QTY-ADJ", etc..).
I then created a parameter which selected records older than an input date.
From there I grouped the records on part number, and selected the greatest
PartTran.TransDate to display as the last transaction date with in that
group.
I used this report to find "dying" inventory. To take it a step further,
dead inventory gets zeroed out, so I added a filter to include only parts
with value greater than 0.
Hope this helps,
Bruce Butler
