We are trying to add PartPlant records and getting the ‘Access to Site’ denied error message.
We are using the manager password, we were able to upload other tables, what is going on with this one? The manager has access to all site at the user security level.
E10’s DMT uses the same sign-in system as E10. So it doesn’t matter which user ID and password you enter, it will use the domain and user you are logged into the computer with.
If I recall, DMT remembers the users last active last active company/site.
Close DMT. Then have ‘manager’ log into Epicor and make the the company/site you want to update active, then log out. Then when manager logs into DMT, that site should work.
You may need to split up your DMT file into multiple imports, one for each site.
The DMT is just a front end and responds to the same business logic as the application. When you log in to the DMT with credentials, those credentials are used to determine what the DMT user can add, delete and update. Try logging into the application as manager and see if you can manually perform your updates. If not, then the manager account does not have enough access to perform the update. You might also try giving the manager account Security Manager rights. That will resolve many DMT loading issues as it provides a lot of access to the application. I realize that if others are using the manager account you may not want to make that account a Security Manager, so you may need to come up with a DMT-specific account. One last thought: check and see if the Site in your import template belongs to the Company on the same row.
