Using service account with link on dashboard URL/XSLT view

I have had a request to give the users the ability to see expense report attachments (receipts) when the user is reviewing expenses in a dashboard I built. We don’t use DocStar. Our files are stored on the server and in normal attachment view the users can see them, but trying to use the link via the URL/XSLT view with the same link the user does not have permissions to access the network location. I had our IT group give my Epicor account temporary access so that I could prove it was a permissions issue.

Is there a way to put in the service account information so that they can view it?

Not without a good bit of unadvisable work.

I think you need to rethink the process.

Explain what you really want your users to do.

If it’s just to see the attachments from a dashboard, you can use Epicor’s built in methods to pull them down for you.

Yes, I just want them to see the attachments per expense item. How do I use the “built in methods”? I’m not sure I understand how that would work on a dashboard.
