Using Dynamic Attributes on Parts

Can anyone point me to some useful documentation on how to implement using attributes for Parts and Part Classes? We are new to Kinetic and looking for advice on this topic. Are the attributes only relevant if using PCID? Thanks.

Wanted to document this for other people as I did a way too deep of a dive into AUOM to figure out how it works and how to set it up for a sheet metal manufacturer. Just to make sure we are on the same page, are you talking about the Dynamic Attributes that are for the AUOM module or just the generic Attributes that can be used in multiple places?
