Using customized MES buttons V8.00.809d

Never Mind - I figured it out. the run-time arg "Config" was pointing to a different configuration file. Once I edited that, it worked like it should.

Hi, I have just added the scheduled shipments report to a button on the
MES menu. I have tested it and it all works fine. The next thing i need
to do is to set this customization as the default for MES. Can anyone
tell me how to do this?

Thanks Jase.
Jase,

In the default.mfgsys file there under the <appSettings> section there is a
setting <MESCustomMenuID value="" />. Place the ID you created in the Sub
process menu between the quotes and the Customized MES will come up.

There is a good Help section in Vantage which walks you right through the
entire process.

Thanks Jase.

Useful links for the Yahoo!Groups Vantage Board are: ( Note: You must have
already linked your email address to a yahoo id to enable access. )
(1) To access the Files Section of our Yahoo!Group for Report Builder and
Crystal Reports and other 'goodies', please goto:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vantage/files/.
(2) To search through old msg's goto:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vantage/messages
(3) To view links to Vendors that provide Vantage services goto:

I, also, have customized MES - programmed a button to launch the Serial Number Assignment UI. I created a Sub-process record for the customization with the following values:

ID: UD-MES
Name: MES Buttons Added
Security ID: SEC000
Parent Process: PROCESS
Oder Seq: 10
Enabled: TRUE
Program Type: Non Menu Item
Program: Epicor.Mfg.Menu.Mes.dll
Customization: kfwMES01

Then, per HELP, I modified the config file with the following in the appSettings section:

<MESCustomMenuID value="UD-MES" />

But when I open MES, I do not see my customization. Any idea's why not would be appreciated!

BTW, we are not live, and I am doing this all in Pilot. Here is the target for my MES icon (Pilot DB):

"C:\Program Files\Epicor Software\client803\client\MfgSys.exe" -MES /config=pilot.mfgsys

Thanks,
Keith Walter
