Uploaded SSRS Report Applied to all Custom Report Styles

We’re 2022.2.11 Cloud, just went live this morning.

I have a report/alternate setup for ARForm (let’s say A & B), and uploaded the A-Report to the A-Report-Style, and the B-Report to the B-Report Style. Both reports, when previewed were B-Reports. Reuploaded A-Report to A-Report-Style, now both A- and B-Report-Styles are previewing as A-Reports.

I’m hoping someone has some insight into what I’m doing wrong here…

  • All uploads in Classic UI (Kinetic appears to want a zipped file?)
  • Tried creating a new style, same report was uploaded to all 3 custom styles
  • Happened with POForm too
  • can’t test against Pilot (that’s a story for another day), but I’d believe that this issue existed from the beginning of the customization/solution import process and just wasn’t noticed.
  • Both ‘Report Locations’ are the same, but the containing folder (what i select when i upload) is different with two different ARForm versions
  • They use the system data definition (PO form uses custom RDD)

I appreciate any help anyone can offer, thanks.

You need to have a different path for each report style if the rdls are different, otherwise you are just overwriting the files. It doesn’t matter where you are uploading them files from, only the path where the rdl is getting published in Epicor.

Thanks! That did the trick. I still don’t understand how Epicor thinks c:/AAA/reports/ARInvoiceForm/ARForm is the same as c:/BBB/reports/ARInvoiceForm/ARForm, but i don’t suppose there is any point in questioning it

Glad its working. The path you see in the report style is the path where the rdls get uploaded in SSRS, so if the path and file names are the same they overwrite whatever was previously uploaded.

Ah, got it - that makes sense. Thanks again for the clarification!
