You need to make your promsgs.dll file read only. The multiple users can
access it at once. Do a search for it. I believe it is in Progress\bin
folder.

Subject: [Vantage] Upgrade from Vantage 3 to 4
Hi all,
We've been running Vantage 3 since 1998, and it's worked just fine
for us. However, we have need to test out some features of Progress
9 and are attempting a test installation of Vantage 4. I don't know
if anyone remembers doing this, but we're running Win2k and were able
to get our 3.0 installation running on it. After going through the
necesary steps to upgrade to 4, we made it to the installation step
where you apply the schema changes to the old 8.3A database.
However, when I click the button to do so, I get the following error:
msgOpen: unable to open message file: promsgs
I have no idea what it means. The promsgs file exists and there
should be no issues. Can anyone help?
