Updateable Dashboards - LaborDtl 9.05.700C

Sorry about that, I added a note that it is for 9.05.701. I'm not sure how to make a BAQ backward compatible, someone else on here might be able to speak more about that.

The BAQ uploaded is 9.05.701, can BAQs be shared between versions?

I'm in 9.05.700 and it errors out when importing.

Ted,
would you be willing to upload your BAQ? or if not what table/field are
you updating and which reference object are you using? Right now I've
just got a dashboard showing the unapproved labor and then the user goes
into time and expense entry to approve/submit it.. An updatable BAQ
would be more efficient, but I wasn't sure what fields all needed
updated in this particular situation.Â

Not every table is a candidate for an updatable BAQ. However, luckily
you're on SQL.

We are on Progress and I have created a dashboard that will update LaborDtl records. Is the LaborDtl table the only table in the BAQ?

I created this one by first setting the BAQ as updatable.

Bring in the LaborDtl table.
Choose all fields to display.
Go to the Update tab and make LaborDtl.TimeStatus updatable.
On the Update Processing tab uncheck advanced BPM and select the LaborDtl business object from the Business Object button.
In the tables to update listbox there should be ttLaborDtl with a checkbox checked.
Click on the button in the lower right corner that says Regenerate BPM Directive.
Go to analyze and Get List, now you should be able to change the status of the LaborDtl record.

Hope it helps,
-Ted

The BAQ uploaded is 9.05.701, can BAQs be shared between versions?

I'm in 9.05.700 and it errors out when importing.

Ted,
would you be willing to upload your BAQ? or if not what table/field are
you updating and which reference object are you using? Right now I've
just got a dashboard showing the unapproved labor and then the user goes
into time and expense entry to approve/submit it.. An updatable BAQ
would be more efficient, but I wasn't sure what fields all needed
updated in this particular situation.
