Hey gang,

Curious to pick your brains to get any clever ideas. We want to start
quoting, selling and billing for Freight. We get great LTL rates and we
still pass on savings, but we want to take a little for us, too.

So, the actual freight price may be $1000 billable to us. We tell our
customer the freight costs $1300. We Quote it, turn it into an Order and
then ship it out.

Is anyone else doing this? I wanted to create a Part Number called
"Freight" and just have our sales guys add it to the quote and assign the
price. Problem is on the financials, I'm thinking: How do we track actual
costs and profits on a shared part number with always different pricing?

Any ideas?

TIA.
