I’m new to Epicor and to this forum, so please bear with me.
MRP keeps creating unfirm jobs for parts that don’t need new jobs, and we can’t figure out why. One part is particularly mysterious. There’s no demand, no min, no safety, no forecasts, but MRP keeps suggesting a job. Thoughts?
Time phase a good place to start - also look at planning workbench and job manager as it may be that you will have messages about cancelling/rescheduling existing/firm jobs and MRP is replacing and consolidating these.
Also for the mysterious part I would check to see what quantity you have on hand - if it is negative it may be trying to get back to zero also check if it is used anywhere else.

@scarlette - Does the part show up when you open up the Planning Workbench > Search Binoculars > Return All Rows? If it does, try deleting the suggestion.
Might be time to pop in an EpicCare ticket. The MRP folks can help get to the root cause, or at least provide a regen process or fix to clean it up.
