Unable to log users into Vantage (6.1)

Thanks for all the replies, I really appreciate the efforts. Turns out it was a corrupted/missing progress file. Not sure how or why that could
have happened in the middle of the day for no apparent reason, but I gotta say that Tech Support was great and stuck with me for over 3 hours
on the phone to get it resolved and working. Key note: It also was a tremendous help that I had a system backup that included that progress folder.

Thanks again!

Julie,
I have seen something similar but only affecting one user. Check the "Processes" tab in "Task Manager" on one of the affected machines and see if you have more that (1) instance of prowin32.exe running. If so reboot the machine (sometimes it would take 2-3 consecutive reboots) to clear the running process. Simply ending the process would not allow vantage to run for me.

Look at the database log, anything strange?

Call out to anyone who might be able to help on this issue. (Put my
first call into support in a couple of years, but don't expect a quick
response.)
I have users currently logged into and using Vantage (Regular and Shop
Floor). A few of us logged out and now cannot get back in. There's no
error, just the splash screen and nothing. I'm sure it's not a licensing
error, because we were logged in, and there is no error about too many
users or anything. It doesn't seem
to be a network error, because I can't get in directly from the server
either. I rebooted the server on Friday, and everything was fine this
morning.
I'm reluctant to reboot my server again, because I don't want to
disconnect the current users and not be able to get them back in again.

Appreciate any thoughts or ideas on this,
Thanks,

Have you looked to see who is logged into Vantage? You may have users hanging open in Vantage taking up all available users.
Yes I have, we have plenty of licenses and I'm not getting the "# of users exceeds...." error or any error at all.
Thanks for the suggestion though - any other thoughts?

Have you installed any new clients lately that might have changed the path to the database?
No, it's not that either...
Thank you though!

We have seen this a couple times here, I don't recall the solution but my guess is the "AdminService for Progress" service on the server. Your only other option may be to restart the server.

Jim
