Chances are it’s your firewall on the server causing the problem, turn off the firewall completely on the server.

Subject: [Vantage] Unable to connect to the AppServer (Epicor 9.05)
I am working on setting up a test E9 server, to begin our process of upgrading to Epicor 9.05 (from Vantage 8.03). I went through the installation guide and data upgrade guide. Everything seemed to go smoothly, but now I am having problems logging in on a client machine. I can log into Epicor fine directly on the server, but if I install the client package on a separate workstation and try to log in, I get the following message:
Unable to connect to the AppServer.
Details:
Could not connect to the AppServer: General Error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 192.168.1.15:9401. (7203)
Any ideas what could be causing this?
