UDCodes_UD - Anyone Ever Done This?

Wondering if anyone has ever created a UD table off of UDCodes. Just wondering how it worked and if there were any issues that it caused.

I did. Use it all the time, no issues.

I have:

The only added column I made was an “extended description” because I used it to store an entire specification document text

But it works just fine.

Awesome, thanks for the quick response!

It’s pretty handy to store larger data sets in a familiar way.

I don’t know anymore, man.

Part of me is thinking “Dork - you think this is ‘familiar’?!”

But the instant reaction I had was, “Oh, a JSON string. That makes sense.”

I used to not know this a few years ago…

Also, cool idea.

Well I meant familiar as in “just stick it in a UD Code” lol

I store all kinds of one offs there, and a few configs

So, have you ever noticed how easy it is to delete the entire library of UD codes? I’m terrified to store any useful things there.

I have a beef with it.

Ha, I forgot I made a GIF of it.

We have the same UD!

I loved your comment to the Admin response on your idea @JasonMcD

Yeah that admin response was lame.

We make mistakes too. It’s a much bigger issue.
