I'm no BPM expert, but I'm trying to do this too. Here is my "untested"
code from a pre-process on UD02.Update.



define var vKey1Num as Integer no-undo.

find last UD02 where UD02.Company = ttUD02.Company no-lock.

if available UD02 then do:

assign vKey1Num = integer(UD02.key1) + 1.

assign ttUD02.Key1 = string(vKey1Num).

end.
