Trying to unreceive part with serial numbers

This is my first environment where I am working with serial numbers. I understand the concepts but still learning the in and outs of how Epicor handles them.

I have a case where we are trying to unreceive a PO receipt for a part that has serial numbers. Quantity of 40 with 40 serial numbers.
When we try, we get the message “The status of one or more selected serial numbers has changed since receipt, cannot uncheck the Received flag.”

As I did into, I do see at least one serial number has two transactions in Serial Number Tracker. Both are PUR-INS but it looks like the BIN was changed.

In short, is there a way around this?
I guess we need to back out one of the serial numbers and replace it with another.

I’m on a later version, but I would try to track down the transaction(s) that changed the status since receipt and try to back those out first. If all else fails, you can manually change a serial numbers status with serial number maintenance (at least on my version). If you do have access to serial number maintenance, I would make any changes in a Test environment first. According to some of our users, a serial number could get “locked up” messing with SN maintenance. I’ve never seen it happen though.
