Trouble with Data Sync in Report Data Definition

I am modifying OrderAck RDD. I added Customer Table. I create the relationship between OrderHed and Customer with the fields Company and CustNum. This is the error I get when I try to sync data.

What should I do?

Apparently that sync data set button causes more problems than it fixes. There are several posts on it. Rather than syncing the data set, I’ve always just modified the SSRS data set query in the report builder after setting up the new RDD. I would probably make a new RDD, don’t click sync dataset, and edit the query in report builder.

The 2nd way seems to be what Epicor intended. I feel that just adding fields in the RDL is “cleaner” than adding tables via joins too. The PackSlip RDD already includes the table OrderHed (although it appears to have no table relationships). And the OrderNum was already in the Picked Links. So I all have to do in the RDD is make sure the fields are in the Description Fields. Thanks for that. I used to add them manually but I got tired of it and the data sync helped until this recent update.

Data Sync button should only be used with BAQ reports and not with anything else.
