Transfer Order Workbench in multi-plant environment

Transfer Order Workbench changed it’s approach in E10. In E9, you would load it in Plant A and see all the items you needed to pull into Plant A; in E10, you open it in Plant A and see everything you push out to the other plants in your company - totally backwards!

In order to see the items you want to pull into Plant A, you have to return all records and then use Group By in the grid view to group on the “To Plant” column. This approach has created a problem: you cannot have more than one person using the workbench at the same time because everyone starts getting the “row modified by another user” error. Plus, there’s a pretty substantial risk in using the Select All button because it will include all items in the grid, even those for Plant B, Plant C, etc.

My idea was to create a Quick Search that pulled in transfer suggestions for the current plant only, but I can’t figure out how to attach the Quick Search to the Transfer Order Workbench search dialog box. I also tried creating a BAQ search but can’t get the rows to import into the workbench.

Has anyone else running a multi-plant environment found a solution to this?

Brent,

Did you ever find a solution for this? We tried the same Quick Search thinking and can’t get the lines to populate in the workbench from the BAQ search.

Jeff,

Unfortunately, we were not able to figure this out. Still hoping there’s a solution, though.
