[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Hi All

Im facing a interesting problem

I try to pull more part info in the report so i want to include the Part
table in the RDD. i did it and when running the report and open it in
crystal the table is there but if i use it the report goes blank.

I looked in the xml file and the table definition is there but no part
records gets exported.
Can someone point me what the problem could be.

Ephraim

That sounds the same as my recent problem -- see the thread "Adding a
linked table in report data maintenance". Affected me in version
9.05.600C and was fixed by an updated to 602A.

Brian.

Thanks Brian

We are on version 9.04.507A and i had no problems adding tables in other
reports just this report it happens.
Wondering if this is a new problem introduced with the latest patch level

I've had this a couple of times, and it always seemed to be a table relation issue. If the tables weren't related properly BOTH in the RDD and in Crystal, trying to add a field from that table would blank out the entire report. The XML still had all the data, but the report was completely blank.

We're on 9.04.506C

The problem here is that the xml only contains the field definition but no data from the linked table is there.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
I spoke to epicor and they basically confirmed what you said.

So I linked the part table to the company table based on the company field.
I exported only 3 fields (company, partnum, prodcode) so the xml doesn't get too big.
Then in crystal I linked the part table to the tphse table and it worked fine.
The only drawback is it will export all parts.

In you need more help feel free to ask.

Hi,

I worked with Epicor on this same report last week.
It only has the TPhase temp table and company table.
You can't link to a temp table like TPhase.
Tried linking part to company.
Never could get it to work.
Let me know if you do.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
I'm at 9.04.506C and having the same problem, but with the BOMListingRpt
I'm trying to link PartMtl to PartCost. I want to get an indented BOM listing with costs.
Epicor told me to link by Company - and that got the whole file - the .xml was too big for the Epicor's Crystal run time to process.

I've got a webex later today to try to see if we can get it to work.
