I have a ticket open with Epicor on this but it got to the point where the tech is trying to get information from the development team and my experience has been that this result in a dead end.
In the interim, I wanted to see if anyone has encountered this and might have any ideas on the cause or solution.
We recently upgraded to Kinetic 2022.2 from E10.2.600
We are seeing inconsistency between the open quantity on a job (Production quantity - quantity received into stock) and the reported Receipt quantity for the same job in Time Phase.
For example, job number 123 is for a production quantity of 10 but we have received 2 into stock as verified in Job Tracker on the Mfg Receipts tab but Time Phase shows that the receipt quantity is still 10.
At first, I assumed that Time Phase is getting the information for the receipt quantity column from the jobs demand link (table JobProd), which would make sense to me because if the manufacturing receipt to inventory was to a different warehouse than the demand link on the job then the demand link could not be updated for the quantity received. I believe this is standard Kinetic functionality.
However, we have jobs where the manufacturing receipts were to a different warehouse, the jobs demand link does NOT reflect this manufacturing receipt BUT time phase does. The attached PDF will show an example of this.
We are finding that most jobs do not do this and the open quantity on the jobs’ demand link is the same as the receipt quantity column in Time Phase and the manufacturing receipts into inventory that went to a different warehouse are not reflected in the jobs’ demand line AND not reflected in Time Phase.
We caught the issue because we have a report that measures our excess inventory and part of it pulls data from PartDtl, which I believe is the main table that powers the information in Time Phase.
