Tie Serial Number Transaction to Source Transaction

Is there a way to tie a serial number transaction to the part transaction that it is tied to?
I don’t see a field in SNTran that would create this link.

For example, if I were to receive parts from a job into inventory and specify the associated serial numbers, I will see a MFG-STK transaction in both PartTran and SNTran.
If I have multiple receipts to inventory for the same job, I will see multiple transactions but no clear way to associate one to the other.
I can likely have a best guess based on date and time but I was wondering if there is a more direct way to establish that link.

The PartTranTranNum from the PartTranSNTran table is what ties back to PartTran

There it is! Nice and simple. I didn’t know about this table.
Thank you!

I just started looking at PartTranSNTran in 10.2.500. I am confused as I was expecting to see a record in the table for every Serialized transaction that creates record in PartTran. I just did a serialized PUR-INS that created a record in PartTran but nothing in PartTranSNTran. I wanted to query back from SNTran to PartTran to get the Plant info at the time the record being written to SNtran

Epicor does not capture all transactions for serialized parts like it does in PartTran. I believe a record is only created in ParttranSNTran when the status of the SN is changed.

Gee…that’s annoying. I put a ticket into Epicor to see what their official take on it is.
