I have a sales order with two items that are set as ‘Buy To Order’. There is no PO link to the sales order. There is a PO link to the job, and the job was processed correctly.
The problem is that we are trying to ship from the job on these items, which we physically have in-house, and both of these sales order items were mistakenly set as ‘BTO’ items. I can’t un-heck the ‘BTO’ box on either item.
There are no PO suggestions for these parts.
But when I try to create the Pack to ship these parts from the job, I get the following error:
“The Buy To Order Release is not linked to a Purchase Order Release”.
Are the parts you are trying to ship manufactured by your company or did you buy them from a supplier and are selling them to a customer?
It sounds like you manufactured the parts on a job and the PO was for material that you bought to use specifically for this job. If that is the case, create a new release for the parts and make sure the Make Direct box is checked, then you can delete the release that has the Buy To Order checked incorrectly.
They are manufactured parts that we have already done a job to stock for. the problem is the sales order was set with Buy To Order checked, and there is no PO.
I think we are going to delete the line and do it differently. If that doesn’t work…I’ll be back! lol
